Josée Lepifre
President
Josée Lepifre has built a career of over twenty years in senior leadership roles at two American companies, developing along the way a thorough knowledge of the international business world and an intimate understanding of American culture. Her connection with the United States goes back to 1978, when a first business trip across the Atlantic sparked what would become a lifelong relationship with the country. Ever since, she has been a passionate advocate for the human and cultural ties that she believes lie at the heart of any meaningful international partnership.
Two years ago, she found her natural home in the Orléans Wichita New Orleans association, drawn by the ambition of OWNOLA's projects and the genuine warmth of its relationships with American partners. Elected to the Board of Directors in March 2025 and appointed President in June 2026, she is now driving the association forward with a clear vision:

deepening the connections between Orléans and its American sister cities — Wichita and New Orleans — across sport, academia, and beyond

broadening the association's reach, with new ties being forged with Orléans, Ontario in Canada, and a rapprochement with Orléans, France already under way since May 2025

homestay ? This is what happens with a pairing. You arrive in New Orleans or Wichita and you are greeted by people you have never seen but who welcome you as if you were part of their family. In turn, when our American cousins come to Orléans, we introduce them to our city, our region and its specialities.
Actively participating in the OW ! association also means meeting people who love the United States and discovering this country, this culture with them.

The United States has always been an adventure for me. During my university studies, I focused part of my projects on this country and since my student years, I have always joined Franco-American or American associations in the different cities where I have stayed. I took part in many exchanges. It, therefore, seemed natural to me to join the association to continue to interfere in American culture and civilization, to communicate with our friends across the Atlantic, and to make this friendship live and shine.

I came through the American Club sessions, which allowed me to continue practicing English after my retirement. Very attracted by the USA whose history, culture and way of life we are very close to, and seduced by the dynamism of the association et its Orleans roots, I joined it with the conviction that human relationships are more necessary than ever in a very technological and impersonal universe.

L'anglais occupe une place importante dans ma carrière et développement personnel. English plays a important role in both my career and personal growth, I'm eager to contribute to this aspect within the association

J'aime partager un bon repas, discuter littérature ou me challenger à la salle de sport. J'attache beaucoup d'importance aux valeurs humaines, au collectif.

Amanda Purcell
Originaire de Wichita, j’ai découvert Orléans en 2018 lors d’un échange universitaire. Invitée par une amie de ma ville natale, j’ai assisté à mon premier American Club cet automne-là, pour faciliter les rencontres et les échanges pendant mon séjour. J’y ai découvert une communauté accueillante et un lien vivant entre mes deux villes.
Attirée depuis longtemps par la France et sa culture, j’ai orienté mon parcours autour des langues et des échanges interculturels. Après une première expérience d’études au Mexique, puis un semestre à Orléans, j’ai choisi d’y revenir en 2019 après avoir terminé mes études de premier cycle, pour mon master.
Je suis heureuse de rejoindre aujourd’hui le conseil d’administration et de contribuer au développement des échanges entre Wichita et Orléans, ainsi qu’à l’accueil et à la dynamique des activités de l’association.
